UMT wins Gold Award 2013 from IIE-USA

The Industrial Engineering Student Chapter at UMT has once again earned national pride and recognition as they have been again endowed with the prestigious Gold Award, the highest award given to the allied students chapter by the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE).

The branch was rewarded with the prestigious Gold Chapter Award by the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) USA on our performance for the term 2011 to 2012.

Cricket Awards Distribution Ceremony

Ceremony was conducted where certificates and cups were given to the winning teams and players who had participated in the first UMT-IIE Student Chapter Cricket Tournament

Industrial Vist to Sanpak (Pvt) Ltd.

UMT-IIE Student Chapter arranged a visit to Sanpak Pvt. Ltd. The visit was for academic and learning opportunity. The visit was coupled with a tour of the facility along with a chance to work as an IE and perform activities.

Lecture on Arena Simulation Software

The lecture covered the Arena simulation software which delivers the technology required to support all aspects of a simulation project.

New Officers 2013-2014


New Officers have been selected for UMT-IIE Student Chapter. These officers will take their Oath in the Fall 2013 Semester and will continue to work till end of Spring 2014. 

Students arranged a meeting with Mr. Azeem Iqbal (Founder & President 2011-2012) UMT-IIE Student Chapter. The meeting was to engage an interactive session with the new students. Mr. Azeem Iqbal shared his experience of starting the organization with a vision in mind that it will become best student run industrial engineering organization in Pakistan and will benefit the students of UMT. He also shared the roles & responsibilities with the new officers and stressed that much hard work needs to be done to strengthen the chapter in University. 

The meeting concluded with final declaration of Officer responsibilities. These students will be taking Oath for their positions in the Fall Semester 2013 and will hold their offices for the term 2013-2014.
